This landmark, Tony-award-winning musical (Best Book and Best Score, 1992) tells the story of Marvin, who leaves his wife and child for a male lover, and the extended family’s attempts to endure when the lover contracts the AIDS virus.  Act I takes place in 1979 and Act II in 1981. Songs like “The Ball Game,” “What More Can I Say” and “What Would I Do?” convey a love story and a family story, beginning at the tail end of the sexual revolution and arriving at the dawn of “something so bad words have lost their meaning.”
This show deals with adult sexual issues, and viewer discretion is advised for Youth 12 and under.
